Faye Olson

Faye G. Olson 82, of 436 Idlewild Rd. Crystal Falls, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Northstar Health System in Iron River. Faye was born on June 15, 1929 in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Arvid and Emma (Burman) Kullar. She graduated from Crystal Falls High School and has been a lifelong resident of the area. On December 1, 1947, Faye married Robert Olson in Crystal Falls. Together they raised their family here and Faye worked for twenty five years in the kitchen at Crystal Manor. Robert preceded her in death on March 20, 2009. She had been a member of the United Lutheran Church and Lakeview Bible Church (formerly Faith Baptist). She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Faye loved nature. She and her husband enjoyed watching the wildlife in their yard. They also enjoyed Sunday drives around Crystal Falls. She especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and the growing number of great grandchildren. Faye is survived by her son Raymond (Darlene) Olson of Stevens Point, WI; daughters, Iris (David) Kamin of Menominee, MI and Becky (Bill) Ford of Queen City, MO; brothers, Hugh Kullar of Crystal Falls and William Kullar of Germany. Grandchildren, Bethany (Jeff) Donaldson, Janelle (Brandon) Theobald, Amy (Jason) Sobolik, Kaaren (Ben) Tyvoll, Jeremy, John (JoAnna), James and Julie Olson; Aaron Kamin, Marisa (Jamie) Wozniak, Chris (Amber) Kamin; Ryan (Haley), Cody and Lisa Ford. Also by 27 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Kullar. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Sunday, October 9, 2010 at Nash Funeral Home of Crystal Falls. Funeral services will take place on Sunday at 3:00pm at the funeral home Pastor Dick Krieder of the Lakeview Bible Church will officiate. A luncheon will be served immediately following the funeral service on Sunday in the fellowship hall at Lakeview Bible Church in Crystal Falls. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
