Arvilla Hibbard 83 of Crystal Falls passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette . She was born on December 2, 1928 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin , daughter of the late Andrew and Amanda (Shuman) Large. She attended school in the Milwaukee area, where she would graduate high school. She married James Hibbard on December 1st, 1951, and he preceded her in death in 2000. Arvilla worked as a Nurse's Aide for many years at Crystal Manor Nursing Home, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting dolls, and had made many beautiful dolls that her friends and family have cherished over the years. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, James Hibbard in 1995, and 10 brothers and sisters. Arvilla is survived by her son, Andrew Hibbard (Susan Smith) of Spread Eagle, WI; a daughter, Debbie (Jack) Chervo of Crystal Falls; grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Jamie, and Drew; five great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Kreuger of Milwaukee, and Virginia Newhauser of California; further survived by a special friend, Shirley Steinke The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls . The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls . Fr. Jeffrey Kurtz will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will take place in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Iron River . Drew Hibbard, Cory Sundell, Michael Leonard and Chris Boyd will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in her memory.
