Barbara A. Hansen 74, of Amasa, passed away on Thursday, March 19th at Marquette General Hospital. Barbara was born on March 12, 1941 in Stambaugh, daughter of the Late Ben and Viola (Koski) Lange. She grew up in Delavan, WI, and was a 1959 graduate of Delavan High School. Shortly after graduating she returned to Amasa. Barb was the tomboy of the family and was never afraid to get her hands dirty. She had many jobs throughout her lifetime and was known by family and friends to be an excellent mechanic. She was also business minded and operated Barb’s Coffee Shop and the Down Da Street Bar in Amasa for many years. She loved to read murder mystery novels, go to the casino, watch television and do puzzles. Barb was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother Bruce Gerald Lange; a sister, Mary Beth Burns; two brothers, Jeffrey Lange and Bruce Lange She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Hansen of Amasa; sisters, Bonnie (Dale) Kaskisto of Virginia, MN, Jeanne (John) Ravet of Rhinelander, WI and Patricia Morford of Anahiem, CA; three granddaughters, Jessica Havens, April Hansen and Elizabeth “Libby” Hansen; four great grand children, Nadia, Dane, Lilly and Caden A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, March 23rd from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00am on Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Cory Carlson will officiate. Burial will be in the Hematite Twp. Cemetery in Amasa.
