CRYSTAL FALLS - Clifford "Cliff" D. Hall, 70, of Crystal Falls, died on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at his home. He was born on Feb. 9, 1939 in Dyer, Ind., son of the late Adolphus and Lucille (Sours) Hall. He married Grace Grzelak on July 1, 1961, in Calumet City, Ill., and spent nearly 48 happy years together. The couple lived in Schererville, Ind. before moving to Crystal Falls in November of 1976. Cliff had taken a job as an electrician with Grede Foundries in 1976 and he worked there for 25 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church. He loved to fish and hunt, and especially enjoyed putzing around the homestead. In his recent years he and Grace enjoyed camping and trips to the casino. Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Grace Hall of Crystal Falls; sons, Shawn (Linda) Hall of Virgil, N.Y., Vincent (Nicole) Hall of Elk Mound, Wis., and Michael Hall of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Lawrence (Betty) Hall of Dyer, Ind., Joe (Amy) Hall of Rennselaer, Ind., and Virgil Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters, Garnet (Bob) Erb of Estro, Fla. and Glenda (Frank) Britton of Dyer; sister-In-law, Roseann (Steve) Griner of Calumet City, Ill.; grandchildren, Joshua, Dominic and Christian Hall of Elk Mound and Mycheal of Kingsford; many nieces and nephews and special fishing partners, Jessie and Krystal. Cliff was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Hall, and sisters, Margie Boyd and Marie Vanko. The visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls. The funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Fr. Jeffrey Kurtz will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his memory. Condolences to the family of Clifford D.
