David Charles Miller, 68, of Crystal Falls, MI passed away Friday, November 27, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on March 17th, 1952, in Crystal Falls, MI, son of the late Charles S. and late Marian L. (Tabaka) Miller. David grew up in Alpha, MI and was a graduate of Forest Park High School in Crystal Falls, MI. David went on to serve his country in the US Navy until his honorable discharge in 1976. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Kathy (Luckow) of Florence, WI, in August 1976. He went on to join the Alpha Volunteer Fire Department where he resided as the Fire Chief for 10 years. At the same time, he worked as a Core Assembler for Grede Foundries in Kingsford, MI and retired after 39 years of employment. He was also a member of the (former) Alpha-Mastodon VFW Post 7569 & the East Side Veterans Council. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He spent many Fall hunting seasons at camp with all the guys, and there was never a minute to waste when it came to trout fishing. In the summer months, the garden at the farm was one for the books with his outstanding array of vegetables. On the weekends, you could catch him watching sports on tv or playing outdoors with his grandkids. He loved to laugh and make sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of Crystal Falls, MI; his daughters, Jessica (Christopher) Masterson of Charleston, SC and Shannon (Jon) Osier of Crystal Falls, MI; brother, Donald Miller of Kingsford, MI; sister, Barbara (Keith) Process of Crystal Falls, MI; two grandchildren, Grayson and Kinslie Osier of Crystal Falls, MI; nephews, Eric Miller of Houston, TX and Corey (Katie) Process of Laurium, MI; and niece, Amanda Process (Jack Peterson) of Madison, WI. David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles S. and Marian L. (Tabaka) Miller, along with his twin brother Dennis Miller. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Commonwealth Cemetery in Florence, WI, with Full Military Honors conducted by the US NAVY. Officiant Vicky Prewitt.
