Eleanor Danielson

September 18, 1920 - December 29, 2009

CRYSTAL FALLS - Agnes Eleanor Danielson, 89, of Crystal Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Iron County Medical Care Facility. She was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Hibbing, Minn., the daughter of William and Annie (Hanson) Martinson. Eleanor worked as a telephone operator in Hibbing. She married Everett Danielson on June 7, 1946. They moved together to Crystal Falls where Eleanor was one of the first licensed certified nursing assistants (CNAs), worked at the root beer stand and made baked goods for Crystal Manor. She was president of the Ladies Aide for many years and taught Sunday school at United Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls, where she and Everett were lifetime members. Eleanor loved baking with her little grandchildren and making sugar cookies. She enjoyed playing the organ and the many visits from her family. She loved her coffee time and her neighbors, Rena Karnack, Maureen Lada and Geri Albiero. They were her closest and dearest friends, with whom she raised her children in the neighborhood. Eleanor is survived by daughter, Lois (Scott) Kline of Rush City, Minn.; son, Jerry (Laureen) Danielson of Hibbing, Minn.; grandchildren, Robert Erickson of Tampa, Fla., William (Denise) Erickson of Maplewood, Minn., Christian (Gayle) Kline of Plainfield, Ind., Brian Danielson of Hibbing, and Kari Middleton of Bloomington, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Bobby, Camryn, Audrey "Eleanor," and Braden; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Everett Danielson preceded her in death on March 28, 2008, after 62 wonderful years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie (Hanson) Martinson and several other siblings including her twin, Stanley Martinson of Hibbing. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls. Funeral services will follow Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Micheal Laako will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Condolences to the family of Eleanor Danielson can be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the organ fund at United Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls. The family has entrusted the Nash Funeral Home of Crystal Falls with the funeral arrangements.
