Jennifer Ann Ketola 41, of Crystal Falls, MI passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at her home after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was the unforgettable wife of Josh Ketola and mother of Jonnie and Cecelia Ketola. Jen was born November 14, 1977 in Iron Mountain, daughter of Jon and Karen (Robarge) Willman. She graduated from Forest Park High School with the class of 1996. Jen attended Northern Michigan University and Grand Valley State University. On July 6, 2002 she was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart, Josh Ketola. Jen worked as a cosmetologist in salons in Dickinson and Iron County before realizing her dream of owning her own salon in Crystal Falls. In her spare time she enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with friends and family, especially at the Michigamme Reservoir. Jen also had a great love for the community of Crystal Falls, as shown by her excitement for renovating her Halla Hair Design shop on Main Street, her passion for the Contemporary Center and involvement with various other organizations. Her zest for life and shining personality not only brightened the room but will leave lasting memories to all that were blessed enough to know her. Jen’s special gift was the giving of her time and talents to help others. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Josh; two daughters, Jonnie and Cecelia; her mother, Karen Willman of Crystal Falls; three brothers, Tim (Maribel Palilio) Willman of Kodiak, Alaska, Chris (Julia) Willman of Crystal Falls and Michael (Shawn Houle) Willman of Coos Bay, Oregon; grandmother, Muriel Willman of Crystal Falls. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Philip and Peggy Ketola of Crystal Falls; brother-in-law, Jordan (Jen) Ketola of Crystal Falls; sister-in-law, Leanna (Steve) Masar of Sobieski, WI; grandmother-in-law, Nancy Heimerl of Crystal Falls; nieces, Fynnly and Marleigh Ketola and Minna Masar; nephews, Haydon Masar and River Houle. She is further survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father Jon Willman. A celebration of her life will take place from 1:00-4:00 pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Fortune Lake Bible Camp Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 pm Friday at the Fortune Lake Bible Camp Chapel. Pastor Peter Warmanen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to METAvivor, Inc. or the Crystal Falls Contemporary Center.
