Luetta "Honey" Mae Krajewski

May 14, 1930 - June 9, 2022

Luetta Mae “Honey” Krajewski, 92, passed away at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, MI on June 9, 2022. She was born in Hermansville, Michigan on May 14, 1930 to Edward and Lucille (Plunger) LaMaide. Luetta was a devoted employee of the Crystal Falls Community Hospital for over 30 years, reluctantly retiring when the hospital closed its doors. Following her retirement she realized a lifelong dream of owning The Thrift Shop. She could make anything. She designed and sewed wedding dresses and baptismal gowns for countless families. All her life she worked tirelessly-in the community, with 4-H, and at Camp Batawagama- always helping people; she could even be found giving a back rub while she herself was a resident of the Medicare facility. She leaves three children, Thalei (Jerry) Burke, Brenna Leonard and Leonard (Kymme) Krajewski all of Crystal Falls, and eight grandchildren: Marissa (Jason) Honkala, and Leia Burke, both of Crystal Falls; Charles (Michelle) Leonard of Oakland CA, Liza (Ron) Fleischmann of Milwaukee WI and Sarah Leonard and fiancé Marshall Anderson of Minneapolis, MN; Leonard (Laura) Krajewski III of Iron Mountain, Nigel Krajewski and Catalina Burciaga of Detroit, and Ashley Krajewski of Alpha. She leaves seven great grandchildren, Casey, Alexandra, Devin and Gage Krajewski of Iron Mountain, Michael Krajewski and Kyler Burciaga of Detroit, and Quinn Illi of Crystal Falls. She is also survived by siblings, Larry (Bev) LaMaide of Menominee, MI, Harvey LaMaide of Nashville, TN, Rosalee (Don) Crawfordof Bark River, MI, Cecelia (Ron) Helmick of Parkersburg, WV, Patrick LaMaide of Hermansville, MI, Ann (John) Torreano of Escanaba and Mary Kay (Randall) Carlson of Gladstone. Luetta was preceded in death by husband Leonard, infant grandson, Kenneth Burke and 3 brothers, Lucien, Donald and Karl. There will be no public services. Per her wishes her immediate family will gather at her favorite place to celebrate her life.
