Lucille Friscano

Lucille "Lucy" Marie Frisanco, 66 of Crystal Falls passed away at Northstar Health Services in Iron River on Monday, February 18, 2013 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Lucy never lost her zest for life and she will be missed by many. Born to the late Victor and Lillian (Hill) Johnson on March 13, 1946, Lucy remained a lifelong resident of Crystal Falls following through with the Crystal Falls High School Class of 1964. She married David Frisanco on February 1, 1964 and they recently celebrated 49 years of what "would never last'. Lucy loved music-anytime, anywhere, and played saxophone in the Community Band for many years. She enjoyed cooking/baking, reading, fishing, sewing, "road trips", and any occasion to create and wear costumes. She was proud of her extensive collection of salt & pepper shakers and loved animals of all kinds. Lucy was a genuinely good hearted woman who always helped and looked out for others. She was amember, and employee, of the Christ United Methodist Church of Crystal Falls for many years. Her amazing sense of humor was well known by many and she always got you to laugh at something, no matter what was going on. Lucy worked in the kitchen at Fob's restaurant for over 30 years, retiring early to fight her battle with cancer. While there, she acquired a large, but close, extended family made up of many special co-workers, customers and delivery men-for whom she always had a snack and a word of wisdom, too. Lucy is survived by her loving husband and companion, David; a son Scott (Lisa Johnson, fiancé) Frisanco of Crystal Falls; daughter, Pam (Dennis) Krueger of Florence, WI; grandchildren, Ben Frisanco and Jacob Frisanco of Crystal Falls; brother Vic (Sue) Johnson, Ventura, CA; sisters Peggy (Ed)O'Halloran of Kingman, AZ and Bonnie (Lynn) Johnson of Tucson, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am-1:30 pm Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. A service officiated by Reverend Nate Reed will follow at the funeral home at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established with a cancer society in Lucy's memory.
